Fashion Collaboration

Once again I'm working with my fried Biel Parklee, who took the photos,

and me doing the background: this time, animals.

Tried to simplify parts so it's easier to manipulate in photoshop.

Cut out - bookworks

I had never tried cut outs before, but as I am taking a bookmaking class, one of the assignments was to make a book out of a book. 

The only thing that I could think of was picking a book at Strands (a hard book cover) and try to do something related to the title.

The book I picked up was Animals Welcome by Peg Kehret.

      

I didn't know what I was doing (right or wrong) but I started cutting out silhouettes of animals. 

    

       

I ended up with something looking like this.

Next morning, I felt that I needed something for the background so that there could be depth in the book.

And here is what I finished with.

I am pretty happy being my first attempt, but I think such careful and delicate work is not for me.

Monmouth Museum exhibition

I got into this exhibition and they put my image up to promote it.
